VA ACADEMY — TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By enrolling in, accessing, or using any course, programme, or service offered by VA Academy (“the Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“the Student,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not enrol or access our courses.
VA Academy is operated by Leru Media (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa.
2. COURSES AND ENROLMENT
2.1 VA Academy offers online virtual assistant training programmes delivered via our learning management system (LearnDash/WordPress).
2.2 Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or an approved payment arrangement.
2.3 Course access is granted to the individual enrollee only. Sharing login credentials or course content with third parties is strictly prohibited.
2.4 VA Academy reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue course content at any time without prior notice.
3. PAYMENT AND FEES
3.1 All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Payment must be made in full before course access is granted, unless a payment plan has been agreed upon in writing.
3.3 VA Academy accepts payment via EFT, credit/debit card, and approved payment gateways.
3.4 All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
4. REFUND POLICY
4.1 Refund requests made within 5 (five) business days of enrolment, provided the student has not accessed more than 20% of the course content, will be considered for a full refund.
4.2 No refunds will be issued after 5 business days of enrolment, or once more than 20% of course content has been accessed.
4.3 In exceptional circumstances (e.g., serious illness with supporting documentation), refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of VA Academy.
4.4 Refunds will be processed within 10–14 business days of approval.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1 All course materials, videos, workbooks, templates, slides, and resources provided by VA Academy are the sole intellectual property of VA Academy and Leru Media (Pty) Ltd.
5.2 Students are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use course materials for personal learning and professional development only.
5.3 Course content may not be reproduced, redistributed, resold, shared publicly, or used to create derivative products without prior written consent from VA Academy.
5.4 Violation of intellectual property rights may result in immediate course access termination without refund.
6. STUDENT CONDUCT
6.1 Students are expected to engage respectfully within all Academy spaces, including community forums, group chats, and live sessions.
6.2 Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or any form of disruptive behaviour will result in immediate removal from the programme without refund.
6.3 Students may not use VA Academy content, templates, or resources to create competing training programmes.
7. CERTIFICATES AND COMPLETION
7.1 A certificate of completion will be issued to students who successfully complete all required modules and assessments.
7.2 VA Academy certificates are issued by VA Academy (Pty) Ltd and are not currently accredited by a SETA or government body unless explicitly stated.
7.3 VA Academy does not guarantee employment or specific income outcomes upon completion of any programme.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
8.1 While VA Academy endeavours to provide accurate, current, and high-quality training, all courses are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
8.2 We do not guarantee specific results, earnings, or career outcomes from completing our programmes.
8.3 VA Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of our platform or course content.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, VA Academy’s total liability to any student shall not exceed the amount paid by that student for the specific course in question.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
11. AMENDMENTS
VA Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Students will be notified of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
